Jeff Schultz is an incredibly accomplished photographer in the state of Alaska. Originally a California native, Jeff headed up to Alaska over 20 years ago with a dream to build a log cabin. Captivated by the beauty of the state and the vast land that awaited exploration, Jeff decided to put his roots in the state and stayed. As he began to build his photography career in Alaska, he also founded Alaska Stock, a stock photography agency that promotes and licenses Alaskan photography. Jeff has had the pleasure of taking Sarah Palin's official state photo and being the official photographer for the Iditarod sled dog races since 1982. Because of the range of assignments he has had over the years, Jeff has many thoughts about copyright! Hear them in this video: Though I would have rather traveled to Alaska to talk with Jeff, I did have the pleasure of chatting with him via Skype. You'll definitely see the beauty of the state in his photos in the video. Jeff is a member of both the American Society of Media Photographers and the Picture Archive Council of America.
